On May 19, within the framework of the EU-supported project "Civil Society Initiative", organized by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), a live auction of ideas was held, and various civil groups mobilized funds from the audience to implement their ideas. The event was held in Tbilisi, at the Writers' House of Georgia.
"Ideas auction" is a well-known crowdfunding method in different countries of the world, which helps small civil organizations and initiative groups to present their projects to potential donors and collect resources in live mode. The "Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia" (CSRDG) laid the foundation for the practice of live crowdfunding in Georgia. During the auction, three teams representing different regions of Georgia presented their ideas to the audience from a positive social and ecological point of view and gained support. In total, instead of the requested 15,000 GEL, 20,900 GEL was collected. Representatives of international donor organizations, civil sector, media, state structures and business sector attended the event.
Children and Adolescent Development Center
They collected 10,000 GEL from the audience and plan to raise awareness about autism in Akhaltsikhe and train an Armenian-speaking behavior therapist.

Three women of completely defined profession, vision and experience, who plan to establish an educational-cognitive space in the village with the money collected at the 'Ideas Auction'. They collected 5,400 GEL from the audience. Along with many future plans, in the first stage, an open cinema will be established in the village of Dim, Baghdati district.
Data's garden
"Urban garden" is what Data Tsintsadze calls the space created in his yard in Rustavi, which he uses to discuss ecological challenges with his fellow citizens. He collected 5,500 GEL from the audience to implement his idea.
It should be noted that recently the practice of crowdfunding or public financing has been gaining ground in Georgia and more and more people, groups or organizations are involved in it. Several online platforms are already actively functioning, through which the society finances various social and environmental projects.
In order to popularize and promote the concept of crowdfunding, a completely new initiative has been launched within the framework of CSRDG's community development program, which includes the first auction of ideas.
